Going back to what I know, holding a binocular lens infront of the camera! Ha.

This was just a practice image to see how well that works with the x2i, but I liked how it turned out :)

Shooting with a binocular is pretty difficoult as far as I know, this is a good result though!

Its more difficult than my telescope lens that I use on my Powershot, mainly because I can attach the telescope lens to the camera hands-free. I have to hold the binocular lens.

The hardest part is having the patience to keep moving the camera in and out of focus from pretty far away... I learned a lot using my telescope ]lens and powershot, though :)

Will be getting a true macro lens soon however! I'm too worried about scratching the glass with the binocular/reverse lens, lol.

A macro lens is surely the best way to take macro pics but I think I'm going to buy a set of CloseUp filters like Hoya or B&H because I've spent too much for my Nikon D5100 and my girlfriend is going to kill me if I spend some more money.. XD
Or, if you're just worried about the scratches on the lens, just take an UV filter, it's also used as a lens protector (mine's destroyed, I have to take a new one) and it doesn't change luminosity or white balance at all, take a look at this.. [link]
